ESP is now part of the PediaTrust network!

We are excited to announce that we have joined with several other north suburban groups to form the PediaTrust network.  This does not change how we practice medicine, but allows us to remain in control, and independent of hospitals.  See here for details.  Please use the following form if coming to the office for the first time in 2013.

2012-13 Influenza Outbreak Continues

As you likely know by now, we have seen and are contiuing to see a high number of cases of influenza.  Typical symptoms include fever, vomiting, stuffy nose, diarrhea, and cough, along with decreased appetite.  Most cases resolve without treatment in 3-5 days, but please call if you are concerned your child may have "the flu".

Pertussis Has Returned to the North Shore

We are now seeing many cases of pertussis, or "Whooping Cough", in our community.  Although children are vaccinated beginning at 2 months old, we are seeing "breakthrough" cases in vaccinated children.  Please contact us if you have any concerns, and see our BLOG for details.

Vitamin D Recs: at least 400 IU daily for all kids!
